Advent is the season of preparation for the birth of Christ.
We wait, we anticipate, we yearn for the coming of God’s great gift.
At St. Andrew, we mark Advent each Sunday with the lighting of the Advent candles, the singing of Advent songs and the anticipation that is the hallmark of these days. As the daylight shortens, the yearning for the coming of the Light of the World increases. This year, we will be looking at Jesus’ family tree, those ancestors that tell us who this Messiah will be.
