A COMMUNITY OF HELPERS
INCLUSIVITY
We believe that God is love
Therefore, our doors and our love and our positions of leadership are wide open to our diverse community; regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or national origin.
MUSIC
Music that speaks to the soul
St. Andrew is a regular showcase of outstanding musical talent; from our professional pianist, to the Third Sunday Singers, to our dedicated choirs and musical volunteers.
MISSION
A Community of Helpers
Helping is what we do. We believe that God placed us in Pacifica to care for our neighbors, to give to those in need, and to share our blessings with the wider world. We can't be God's people if we don't do what God tells us to.
REV. BRIAN CAMARA
Rev. Brian Camara is a California native who has served churches in Los Angeles, Iowa, and Pacifica.
Pastor Brian loves studying the Bible and is committed to sharing the humor, poetry, and sarcasm(!) found in God's Word. He's full of energy, love to chat and to listen, and tries to be involved in every mission and work opportunity that comes our way.
Pastor Brian is married, with one toddler, two cats, and a seventy-pound German Shepherd. He names his animals after theologians.
LARA GARNER
Lara Garner is known for the lyric quality of her playing and her versatility in styles. She is equally at home playing Beethoven one night and Journey the next.
With a degree in music from U.C. Berkeley and a Master's Degree from San Francisco State, Lara has lived and performed all over the world. She plays the harp, piano, and flute professionally. Learn more on her website - SFTrio.com
PHIL JOHNSON
Phil Johnson began his music studies at 8 years-old, carrying around a very large and heavy cello. Since then, he's added the organ and piano to the mix (and he gave up on carrying around his instruments).
He has an MDiv from Bethel Theological Seminary, an International MBA and JD from St. Thomas (MN), and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Taxation & Estate Planning from Golden Gate University. He is currently studying conducting and piano pedagogy at San Francisco State University.
By day, he does tax law. By night, he leads our choirs.
